Hello Students and Parents,

I hope everyone has had a good start to school and feel that you are finding a rhythm with the new pace of life 🙂
Individual invoices went out in your emails along with this newsletter link … please remember that these are due by the first lesson in September. Thank you!
Monday Students – there will be no lessons on Labor Day (Monday, September 5th). The store will also be closed for those coming in for accessories or other instruments – make sure to plan your trips for Saturday or Tuesday that week. Enjoy the day off 🙂
Take a moment to check out this month’s listening below 🙂 Two famous pianists who have birthdays this month!
Leonard Bernstein – famous American piano, conductor, and composer. Below you will see him conducting one of his own compositions. He lived from 1918 to 1990, was a lifelong humanitarian, and won many awards – including 16 Grammys, including the Lifetime Achievement award.
Claude Debussy – was a French pianist and composer we consider to be from the Impressionist era. He lived from 1862 to 1918, and wrote many famous songs, including the popular Clair de lune below. Do you recognize it?
See you in the studio,
McKenzie
