Happy Valentine’s Day and Super Bowl Sunday!

This week around the studio –

~ Valentine’s Day activities will be in full swing!

~ Don’t forget to mark you calendars – there will be no lessons the week of March 21st.

~ There have been lots of questions regarding ZuZu’s chocolates going in next door … the latest is that a soft opening is scheduled for Saturday, February 12th ๐Ÿ™‚ Be sure to give them a warm welcome to the neighborhood! (They dropped off some chocolate covered oreos for Dan and I last week and let me tell you – they do beautiful and delicious work ๐Ÿ™‚ )

Did you know that February 8th was John Williams’ 90th birthday?! Not only has this incredible man had a lifetime of composing many of the most recognizable movie soundtracks (Star Wars, Home Alone, Jaws, Jurassic Park, among many, many others), but he continues to conduct orchestras today! By the time he was out of grade school, John Williams played so many instruments that he could be the orchestra, but he started music and specifically the piano at the age of 6. I had to do a bit of digging to find him playing the piano (there are just so many videos of him conducting!), but this month’s listening includes a couple of lesser-known videos with him on his primary instrument. If you’re interested in finding more, you’ll have to search under “John Towner Williams” or “John Williams Trio” to find them on Youtube ๐Ÿ™‚

Check out the videos below, and more about his life here!

It is also Black History month … if you’re looking for more listening to complete, check out last year’s February listening here ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy listening,

Did you miss January’s month in review video? Check it out below ๐Ÿ™‚
