Hi y’all!
I hope you’ve all been able to stay warm in this wintry weather … I’ve been waiting for the snow and am quite excited!
Just a couple of notes for this week …
~ Lessons continue as normal this week (even Monday students).
~ Thank you to those who returned the short questionnaire I sent out… they have been very helpful! If you have yet to fill it out, I’d still appreciate hearing your thoughts!
~ Our Composer of the Month is J.S. Bach … our first two listening examples have probably been unfamiliar. You should recognize this one!
~ This week’s practice tip is “Same Time Each Day”

“A great practice trick is to practice at the same time each and every day. Daily, consistent practice is so important and helps you progress quickly. If you don’t have a regular practice time scheduled, choose a time and start creating the habit.”
~ Parents! Once a month I will be sharing a tip specifically for you to help your children with practicing – whether you are a musician or not. To start with, check out this great article that gives fantastic tips on how to make practice more effective and enjoyable!

That’s all for this week! Thank you all for your hard work.
Happy Practicing,
~McKenzie
